Half Day Encounter

An amazing experience for all ages, our half day encounter will see you get up close and personal with some truly magnificent birds of prey.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be surrounded by the breathtaking beauty and power of our birds. You’ll have the opportunity to fly and handle a range of different species as you gain a deep understanding of these amazing creatures. Our expert falconers will be on hand to answer any questions you might have and share their knowledge and experience with you.
And the best part? You can bring up to two spectators along to share in the fun! For a small additional fee, your friends or family members can join you on this incredible adventure and take photographs of your special day.

VIP Half Day Encounter

This one-to-one falconry experience is the perfect way to get up close and personal with some of the most majestic birds of prey in the world, whilst our knowledgeable falconers dedicating their time and expertise to create an unforgettable experience just for you.
Your day will begin with a warm welcome and a hot drink, as we introduce you to the fascinating world of falconry. From there, you’ll meet our incredible flying team and learn about the basic skills and techniques needed to fly these magnificent creatures. With a range of different birds to choose from, you’ll have the chance to fly and interact with these majestic raptors, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
As with our standard half day encounter you can bring up to two spectators along to share in the fun! For a small additional fee, your friends or family members can join you on this incredible adventure and take photographs of your special day.

Talons and Targets Experience

If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience that combines adventure, skill-building, and bonding with nature, look no further than the Talons and Targets Experience Day. This unique day-long adventure offers a chance for participants to try their hand at three exciting activities: falconry, archery, and axe throwing.
The day begins with a lesson in the art of falconry, where you get up close and personal with a variety of birds of prey. Under the guidance of experienced falconers, participants learn how to handle and train these majestic creatures.
After a hands-on introduction to falconry, participants move on to archery, where they learn the basics of using a bow and arrow to hit a target. With the guidance of experienced instructors, participants can refine their skills and compete with each other to see who can hit the bullseye.
Finally, the day ends with axe throwing, where participants learn how to safely throw an axe at a wooden target. This challenging activity requires focus, precision, and a steady hand, all of which can help participants build important life skills like discipline and perseverance.

Hawk Walks / Hunting Days
Treat yourself or a loved one to an unforgettable experience at Wide Eyes Falconry. You will be welcomed on arrival with a hot drink and an introduction to our birds before embarking on a Hawk Walk with one of our friendly , experienced falconers. Your walk can be booked for either 1 or 2 hours through the beautiful surroundings of Evegate.
Your Hawk will happily follow you through the trees allowing you to call them down to your gloved hand.
Plenty of fantastic photo opportunities capturing the birds flying gracefully from tree to tree.

Full Falconer Experience
Spend the day shadowing one of our experienced falconers, learning what it takes to become a falconer!
All our falconers are qualified through the Raptor awards, they will take you under their wing for the day and teach you the traditional falconers knot, food preparation, how to handle a bird of prey and assist you with the exciting experience of flying the bids having them return to your gloved hand.
You will work with a Variety of species throughout the day as well as learning the History of falconry. I’m sure by he end of your session you will have a greater love,understanding and appreciation of these magnificent birds.
This is an amazing experience for bird of prey enthusiast of all ages.

Owls by Moonlight
Why not join our Wide Eyes Falconry team for a magical owls by moonlight evening. You can fly our mystical birds, watching them twist and turn through the night sky, showing us how they behave in their natural environment. This is a truly memorable event for any owl lovers .
